Personality Style Selector - Try It!

Creation Date: 17/06/2018 - Last Updated: 17/06/2018

Based on the DISC model (Explained later) the applications requires you to answer a series of questions which will plot your Personality style. This model intrigued me when completing it as a paper based exercise as it pin pointed myself and several other people. So I thought it would be good in an electronic form.

The applications requires you to answer 26 series of questions. It is important you don't think too hard and long with these questions you should only think about them for around 1-2 seconds each answer.

Question: 1 of 26

Personality Style Selector

As a manager in the education sector I had chance to go on a leadership course. Although I have an understanding of management and leadership I always want to expand my way of thinking and so I undertook this course.

The DISC model was a notiable concept that was introduced to me, in fact when several people in the class who ran through these questions answered their personalities and management styles were quite acurately plotted, including mine!

The way in which it works is to ask a person a series of questions then they are plotted on a chart dependant on the answers.

I have therefore create a piece of code that will perform the task we did manually in the class. Have a go of it in the next section and I will explain later how to build this and the logic behind it.

The Code and Explaination

Who am I?
I work in the education sector looking after applications and integrating systems. Programming and developing is what I enjoy the most and spend most of my spare time keeping up to date with technology and creating code. I believe by keeping in touch with my practical skills it will enable me to become a better manager for these systems overall.

What is this page?
I've been in the IT industry for my entire working life and although I feel I'm good at what I do I've not got a record of my skill set. So I've create these pages as a record of my coding ability and the ideas I have. Hopefully as I like to share it will provide some use to readers out there

This page will be sparse at first but over the coming months articles, tutorials etc will soon appear!
